Meet the Brew Crew

Meet the crew behind the taps at Valdez Brewing — a hard-working bunch of locals who know their way around both a mash tun and a snowstorm.

At the helm is our Head Brewer, Nathan Venner, a World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival, and more recently AK Beer Award recipient, and is the creative mind behind making our beers, seltzers, and sodas the best they can be.  Right alongside is the Assistant Brewer, Tyler,  who helps with keg clean up and transfers to long canning runs and fights with the label machine.

Out front, our Beer Tenders are the friendly faces you’ll see most often — quick with a pour, a recommendation, and probably a story or two about our little town. They’ll help you find your next favorite beer, whether you’re a hophead, a stout loyalist, or just here because your friend dragged you in.

Keeping it all together is our Manager, Lisa, the one making sure the lights stay on, the taps stay flowing, and nobody accidentally names a beer something unprintable.

What ties us all together? We’re locals. We live here, play here, and yes — we drink here too. We’re proud to be part of the Valdez community, and even prouder to serve it one pint at a time.
